Welcome to Online Doctors Africa. The Online Doctors website and mobile app (“Platform”) are offered to you conditioned on your acceptance, without modification, of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein. Your use of the Platform constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions, and notices.

1. Modification of These Terms

Online Doctors reserves the right to update or change these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Links to Third-Party Sites

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites (“Linked Sites”). Linked Sites are not under the control of Online Doctors, and Online Doctors is not responsible for their content, updates, accuracy, or practices. The inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement by Online Doctors.

3. No Unlawful or Prohibited Use

As a condition of your use of the Platform, you warrant that you will not:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful or prohibited purposes.

  • Damage, disable, or impair the Platform or interfere with other users.

  • Attempt unauthorised access to services, accounts, or systems.

  • Post or distribute harmful, obscene, defamatory, or illegal content.

  • Upload viruses, corrupted files, or malicious software.

  • Harvest or collect information about others without consent.

4. Use of Communication Services

The Platform may contain forums, chat areas, communities, or other services enabling communication. You agree to use these responsibly and not for:

  • Defamation, abuse, harassment, or violation of rights.

  • Uploading unlawful, profane, obscene, or infringing material.

  • Unauthorized advertising, pyramid schemes, or chain letters.

  • Uploading viruses or harmful software.

Online Doctors reserves the right to monitor, edit, or remove content at its sole discretion and to suspend accounts for misuse.

5. Telemedicine Services & Disclaimers

By using the Platform for telehealth or telemedicine consultations, you acknowledge that:

  • Online Doctors is a technology platform and does not itself provide medical care.

  • Healthcare providers are independent contractors, solely responsible for the medical advice and treatment they provide.

  • Telemedicine has limitations compared to in-person care, and providers may refer you to in-person consultations.

  • Technical failures (internet disruptions, video/audio issues) may impact service delivery.

  • You are responsible for seeking emergency care through local emergency services if required.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information, including medical history.

  • Maintain confidentiality of your account credentials.

  • Use the service in a safe and private setting.

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Not rely solely on the Platform for emergency or life-threatening conditions.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform is the property of Online Doctors unless otherwise stated. Logos, graphics, text, and software are protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification is strictly prohibited.

8. Liability Disclaimer

The information, software, products, and services on the Platform may include errors or technical inaccuracies. The Platform is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Online Doctors disclaims all liability for any damages arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on medical advice provided through it.

  • Online Doctors shall not be liable for misdiagnosis, treatment errors, interruptions, delays, or third-party services.

  • Users assume all risks associated with using the Platform and telehealth services.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Online Doctors, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or reliance on services provided.

10. Termination of Use

Online Doctors reserves the right to terminate or restrict access to the Platform at its sole discretion, without notice, for conduct deemed unlawful, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Zimbabwe (and applicable jurisdictions where services are offered). Any disputes shall first be resolved through mediation, failing which they shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Zimbabwean courts.

13. Emergency Directory Disclaimer: This app is not intended for use in emergency situations where a user’s life, safety, or well-being may depend on immediate assistance or accurate information. Users should contact the appropriate emergency services or authorities directly in any emergency. The app and its providers shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or harm arising from reliance on the app during emergencies.
