ONLINE DOCTORS AFRICA – TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access and use of the Online Doctors Africa (“Platform”), whether as a patient, visitor, or healthcare professional (“Provider”). By using this Platform, you agree to these Terms in full.

1. Acceptance of Terms

The Platform is offered to you on the condition of your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein. Your continued use constitutes agreement to all such terms.

2. Modification of Terms

Online Doctors Africa reserves the right to update or modify these Terms, including service charges, at any time. Continued use after changes signifies acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Patient Use of Services

  • Patients may book virtual or in-person consultations, request prescriptions, and access emergency directories.

  • Patients are responsible for providing accurate medical and personal information.

  • Patients acknowledge that consultations are conducted by independent Providers who retain full clinical responsibility for medical advice.

  • Patients must not misuse the Platform for unlawful purposes.

4. Provider Use of Services

  • Providers must ensure accurate availability and professional conduct during consultations.

  • Providers are solely responsible for the quality, accuracy, and legality of medical advice, prescriptions, and treatment delivered.

  • Providers agree not to disclose patient information outside the Platform except as required by law.

  • Providers must comply with local licensing, professional, and regulatory requirements.

5. Payments & Fees

  • Payments for consultations, home care, and services are processed securely through the Platform’s payment system.

  • Online Doctors Africa may deduct transaction/service fees from Provider payments.

  • Patients using the “Credit Facility” agree to repay according to agreed terms, including applicable interest.

6. Communication & Conduct

  • All communication between Patients and Providers should occur through the Platform’s secure tools.

  • Abusive, defamatory, or unlawful content is strictly prohibited.

  • The Platform may suspend or terminate accounts violating these rules.

7. Confidentiality & Data Protection

  • Patient and Provider data are handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

  • Providers must document consultations accurately and securely within the Platform.

  • Unauthorized disclosure of patient data may result in suspension or legal action.

8. Appointment Terms

  • Patients must attend scheduled appointments or provide reasonable notice of cancellation.

  • Providers must honor confirmed appointments or reschedule promptly if unavoidable.

  • Repeated no-shows or cancellations may result in account restrictions.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Online Doctors Africa facilitates connections but does not control or interfere with medical judgment.

  • The Platform is not liable for medical errors, malpractice, misdiagnosis, or negligence by Providers.

  • Advice obtained via the Platform should not replace emergency care where immediate intervention is required.

  • Use of the Platform is at your own risk; services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

10. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. Online Doctors Africa is not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of such sites.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and logos on the Platform remain the property of Online Doctors Africa or respective owners. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

12. Termination of Access

Online Doctors Africa may suspend or terminate user or Provider accounts for violations of these Terms, misconduct, or repeated patient complaints.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe and applicable African regional regulations, where relevant.
